going back to Kien An

The journey back to my grandmother's homeland, where family traditions with a hybrid nature are displayed. I was born and raised in the South Central Coast region of Vietnam and then returned to the countryside in the Northern region with different practices and living conditions. However, within the differences of that journey, values still exist that connect to the inner aspects of the family: intimacy, beliefs about gender roles, worship, etc. These characteristics are explored through the lens of photography, capturing images that are both intimate and reflective of my family trip in Hai Phong, Vietnam
