Nguyen Le Tuan Kiet

From the coastal city Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh, Nguyen Le Tuan Kiet (b. 2003) is a photographer whose works weave among the threads that connect materials, organic/non-organic environment and humans. At the heart of his works is the visual exploration of intimate subjects such as family, homeland and local community.  He looks at photography as a means of capturing everyday moments with a critical lens of care, through which he seizes the chance to not only observe beings intertwined within changes but also to introspect and understand themselves.

Graduated from the Arts and Media Studies Program at Fulbright University Vietnam, Kiet is making a name for himself as one of the emerging photographers participating in Roots and Worlds – a photography alternative school co-designed by Matca (Vietnam) and IC Visual Lab (UK) (2023-2024). His works have been featured in several group exhibitions such as the “Roots and Worlds” Exhibition at IDECAF (HCMC, Vietnam, 2024), Opening-studio “Lèm dì dị” (Nha Trang, Vietnam, 2024), Fulbright Art and Media Studies Showcase (HCMC, Vietnam, 2024).

Kiet is currently working and studying in Ho Chi Minh City.
